Revolutionary drone test range will advance national security
Senator John Hoeven announced plans for a new complex at GrandSKY Business and Aviation Park.
The new $500 million facility will:
- Add nearly 300,000 square feet of hangar space
- Include nearly 300,000 square feet of office space
- Support more than 600 jobs in the Grand Forks region
- Attract additional defense contractors and technology companies to the region
The SkyRange mission will serve as a test range for retired Global Hawks. This allows for more testing and will be a boon to national security.
Test ranges show the world what the United States can do, which shows our enemies what we are really capable of.
Once complete, the SkyRange program will be supported by a data processing center at Hector Field in Fargo.
